Announcement of SoraCam Network Diagnostic Tool
When using Soracom Cloud Camera Services (SoraCam), it is important to ensure that the network to which a SoraCam-compatible camera will be connected meets the necessary service requirements.
As outlined in “3 Key Points to Check When Connecting SoraCam via Wi-Fi” (Japanese), confirming these requirements previously required some technical knowledge and manual effort.
With the release of the SoraCam Network Diagnostic Tool (Japanese), anyone can now easily check whether their intended network meets the requirements for using SoraCam.
To use the tool, simply connect a smartphone or PC to the network you plan to use with the camera, access the tool, and click the button to start the diagnostic.
The Network Diagnostic Tool checks the following:
- Whether sufficient bandwidth is available for uploading cloud recordings.
- Whether the necessary network ports for communication are open.
If the diagnostic result indicates that SoraCam cannot be used on the network, we recommend consulting with your network administrator to review and adjust the settings.
