Discontinuation of Prepaid Coupons for Individual Accounts

Currently, prepaid coupons are available for purchase by both individual and corporate accounts in Japan. These coupons can be used to pay for IoT SIM basic and data usage fees, Soracom Beam service fees, and other platform fees. For more details, please visit Prepaid Coupons (Japanese).

Starting April 1, 2026, prepaid coupons will no longer be available for purchase by customers with individual accounts.

This change will not affect customers with corporate accounts who will continue to be able to purchase prepaid coupons after April 1, 2026.

SORACOM Mosaic end of support

We have ended the service for SORACOM Mosaic, and consequently, support for the SORACOM Mosaic Console and related inquiries has been discontinued.

Soracom Lagoon 3 and Soracom Flux changes due to LINE Notify discontinuation

We would like to inform customers that the LINE notification feature of Soracom Lagoon 3 and Soracom Flux will no longer be available due to the discontinuation of the LINE Notify service, which will be terminated on March 31, 2025.

If you are using LINE notifications in the Contact points settings, a notice similar to the following will be displayed in Lagoon:

Soracom Flux

The LINE notification action will no longer be provided.

Alternative Methods

If you require LINE notification functionality, the LINE Messaging API is being provided as an alternative. For information on how to migrate to the LINE Messaging API, please refer to LINE Notify discontinuation (Japanese) announcement.

Other notification methods will still be available in Soracom Lagoon 3 and Soracom Flux. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Soracom Support.

Discontinuation of Soracom Lagoon 2

We would like to inform customers that Soracom Lagoon 2 is now discontinued as of September 17, 2024.

As previously announced, customers can continue building dashboards and visualizations using the newer Soracom Lagoon 3. Lagoon 3 provides several new features, including variables, library panels, enhanced alerts, and enhanced permission management.

There are no changes to the pricing for Lagoon 3, so existing customers can continue to use Lagoon services without any additional cost.

Soracom Funnel end of support for mockmock DataRecorder

As previously announced, Soracom Funnel support for the Fusic mockmock adapter, which was available only in Japan coverage, has now been discontinued as of August 29, 2024.

mockmock is a virtual device creation service for IoT testing provided by Fusic, Inc. As Fusic has discontinued the mockmock service (Japanese), support for the Soracom Funnel mockmock DataRecorder adapter is no longer provided, and customers are no longer be able to send data to mockmock via Soracom Funnel.

Temporary Soracom Beam Website Entry Points with WebSocket Support now discontinued

As previously announced, the main Soracom Beam Website Entry Point (beam.soracom.io:18080) has been updated as of July 1 to support WebSocket communication. As a result, the following temporary WebSocket-supported Website Entry Points, previously provided as a public beta for testing and validation, have been discontinued:

  • beam.soracom.io:10080
  • beam.soracom.io:10081

For more information, please refer to the Soracom Beam: Website Entry Point documentation.

What to do

If you have been using one of the temporary Website Entry Points (beam.soracom.io:10080 or beam.soracom.io:10081), please update your Beam Website Entry Point configuration to use the main Website Entry Point (beam.soracom.io:18080).

If you have already been using the main Website Entry Point, or if you are using other Soracom Beam entry points, no action is necessary.

End of Support for Soracom Lagoon 2

We would like to inform our customers that Soracom Lagoon 2 will be discontinued on September 16, 2024. We urge all current users of Soracom Lagoon 2 to promptly migrate to Soracom Lagoon 3 to ensure continued service without interruption.

Migrating from Lagoon 2 to Lagoon 3

For customers still using Lagoon 2, most of your Lagoon 2 data was automatically copied to Lagoon 3 on April 17, 2023 at 03:00 (UTC), in order to assist with migration.

Please refer to the Lagoon: Versions & Migration documentation for additional details on data that was not included in the April 17 migration, and for instructions on how to manually migrate any changes you may have made in Lagoon 2 after this time.

Discontinuation and End of Support for S+ Camera Series

Sales and support for S+ Camera series products is now discontinued as of June 30, 2024.

Please note that availability of and support for the SORACOM Mosaic service will continue until December 31, 2024. After this date, SORACOM Mosaic will be discontinued and support will no longer available.

If you are a current S+ Camera series customer and require further information regarding end of support or service transition, please contact the Soracom Support team.

Notice of postponement of Lagoon 2 service discontinuation and Request for migration

Postponement of Soracom Lagoon 2 service discontinuation

We previously announced that the Soracom Lagoon 2 service would be discontinued on May 31, 2024. However, we have identified an issue of duplicated alerts in Lagoon 3 that may affect some customers and have decided to postpone the discontinuation.

This postponement will allow us to investigate the cause and implement appropriate measures. However, at this time we have not yet determined the new date for Lagoon 2 service discontinuation.

Request for migration to Lagoon 3

For any customers who have not yet migrated to Lagoon 3, we kindly request you to do so as soon as possible in order to determine if you are affected by this or other issues, and so that we may assist you promptly.
