End of support for Soracom Flux Google Gemini 2.0 Flash and Google Gemini 2.0 Flash-Lite AI Actions

Google Gemini 2.0 Flash and Google Gemini 2.0 Flash-Lite, two of the AI models available in Soracom Flux AI Actions, will be discontinued by Google on the following dates:

  • Google Gemini 2.0 Flash: February 5, 2026
  • Google Gemini 2.0 Flash-Lite: February 25, 2026

For more information, see Model versions and lifecycle.

As a result, AI actions in Flux apps that utilize these model will be disabled after the discontinuation date.

If you are using Google Gemini 2.0 Flash or Google Gemini 2.0 Flash-Lite, please switch to another AI model before the discontinuation date.

[Japan only] Notice of Soracom Air for LoRaWAN service termination

Soracom Air for LoRaWAN is a data communication service for LoRaWAN IoT devices which Soracom has provided since February 2017. We would like to inform customers that after carefully reviewing service usage, we will be terminating the service on October 31, 2026.

This service is used for IoT device connectivity, so we believe that incidents such as fraud exploiting the service termination, which are sometimes seen with consumer services, are highly unlikely. End of Sales for plan-NA1

We would like to inform customers that sales of plan-NA1 subscriptions will be discontinued after October 10th, 2025. After this date, plan-NA1 subscriptions will no longer be available for purchase; however, existing plan-NA1 subscriptions will still be supported, and customers may continue using these subscriptions to connect to cellular networks.

  • End of Sales Date: October 10th, 2025
  • Affected Subscription Plan: plan-NA1
  • Affected Form-factors: 3-in-1 SIM cards
  • Impact: Only new sales of plan-NA1 subscriptions will end. Existing plan-NA1 subscriptions will remain active and operational.

If you are considering other subscription options in place of plan-NA1, we recommend the following:

  • plan01s: Offers coverage in over 180 countries and regions, starting from 0.06 USD daily.
  • plan-US: Offers coverage in the United States with support for bundled and pooled data plans. Additional coverage in US, Canada, and Mexico can also be added with subscription containers.

[Japan only] Change of purchase availability for SMS-enabled Japan Coverage IoT SIMs

Starting July 25, 2025, purchase availability of the following SMS-enabled Japan Coverage IoT SIMs will change:

  • plan-D (SMS/data, no bundle)
  • plan-D (SMS/data, D-300MB bundle)
  • plan-K

For customers with individual accounts, new sales of these SIMs will be discontinued. However, existing SIMs will remain active and operational.

For customers with business accounts, please contact Soracom Support if you wish to continue purchasing these SIMs. Similarly, existing SIMs will remain active and operational.

Purchase availability of other Japan Coverage IoT SIMs, such as plan-D (data-only), will not be affected.

Soracom Funnel end of support for DataSpider Cloud

Soracom Funnel support for the DataSpider Cloud adapter, which was available only in Japan coverage, has now been discontinued as of April 30, 2025.

This change was implemented in accordance with the end of support schedule previously announced on April 30, 2024.

Discontinuation of Prepaid Coupons for Individual Accounts

Currently, prepaid coupons are available for purchase by both individual and corporate accounts in Japan. These coupons can be used to pay for IoT SIM basic and data usage fees, Soracom Beam service fees, and other platform fees. For more details, please visit Prepaid Coupons (Japanese).

Starting April 1, 2026, prepaid coupons will no longer be available for purchase by customers with individual accounts.

This change will not affect customers with corporate accounts who will continue to be able to purchase prepaid coupons after April 1, 2026.

Soracom Lagoon 3 and Soracom Flux changes due to LINE Notify discontinuation

We would like to inform customers that the LINE notification feature of Soracom Lagoon 3 and Soracom Flux will no longer be available due to the discontinuation of the LINE Notify service, which will be terminated on March 31, 2025.

If you are using LINE notifications in the Contact points settings, a notice similar to the following will be displayed in Lagoon:

The LINE notification action will no longer be provided.

Alternative Methods

If you require LINE notification functionality, the LINE Messaging API is being provided as an alternative. For information on how to migrate to the LINE Messaging API, please refer to LINE Notify discontinuation (Japanese) announcement.

Other notification methods will still be available in Soracom Lagoon 3 and Soracom Flux. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Soracom Support.

Discontinuation of Soracom Lagoon 2

We would like to inform customers that Soracom Lagoon 2 is now discontinued as of September 17, 2024.

As previously announced, customers can continue building dashboards and visualizations using the newer Soracom Lagoon 3. Lagoon 3 provides several new features, including variables, library panels, enhanced alerts, and enhanced permission management.

There are no changes to the pricing for Lagoon 3, so existing customers can continue to use Lagoon services without any additional cost.

Soracom Funnel end of support for mockmock DataRecorder

As previously announced, Soracom Funnel support for the Fusic mockmock adapter, which was available only in Japan coverage, has now been discontinued as of August 29, 2024.

mockmock is a virtual device creation service for IoT testing provided by Fusic, Inc. As Fusic has discontinued the mockmock service (Japanese), support for the Soracom Funnel mockmock DataRecorder adapter is no longer provided, and customers are no longer be able to send data to mockmock via Soracom Funnel.
