New data analysis service Soracom Query technology preview now available

We are pleased to announce Soracom Query, a new service that enables advanced data analysis for device data stored in Soracom Harvest Data.

By itself, Harvest Data provides a simple, straightforward way to collect and visualize data from devices, without the need to define data structures, prepare databases, configure servers, or set up device authentication and identification. Device data stored in Harvest Data can be viewed directly from the User Console with built-in basic graphs and charts, allowing you to quickly select a device and review the data that it sent.

Soracom Query extends the features of Harvest Data by synchronizing and conforming the data stored in Harvest Data into a database that is specialized for large-volume data analysis. With Query, you can easily perform the types of advanced analysis that typically require SQL (Structured Query Language) through the use of BI (Business Intelligence) tools in order to gain greater visibility and uncover deeper insights of your application, still without the need to design and maintain complex databases.

Since Query works with Harvest Data, devices can continue sending data in simple JSON format or leverage the existing data optimization and conversion capabilities of Binary Parser or Soracom Orbit, without any special configuration required.

Soracom Query is available starting today as a technology preview. To request access or for additional information, please contact us.
