We are excited to announce a new planP2 subscription that provides a local profile for devices deployed in Brazil.

Currently, coverage in Brazil is already available with plan01s IoT SIMs, however that coverage is provided through roaming connections. While Brazil allows short-term roaming connections, long-term connections (known as "permanent roaming") are not permitted, and local network operators in Brazil are required to block such roaming connections.

The new planP2 subscription provides a local connection rather than a roaming connection, which allows a device to remain connected in Brazil without the risk of being blocked.

planP2 is available as a Subscription Container, allowing you to add it to an existing plan01s IoT SIM card or embedded SIM over-the-air without having to replace it. planP2 can be added before a device is deployed to Brazil, or to a device that is already deployed in Brazil and connected with plan01s. Once added, the planP2 subscription will automatically activate when the device is located in Brazil, and will similarly fall back to plan01s (or other Subscription Containers) if the device moves to another country.
