We are pleased to launch a new Switch User feature that allows you to easily switch to an authorized SAM User of another Soracom account.

In some applications or use cases, you may want certain users to be able to access and maintain specific SIMs, while restricting their access to other SIMs. To accomplish this, Soracom normally recommends creating multiple Soracom accounts (operators), with SIMs separated accordingly between the accounts for security.

However, for administrators, technicians, support personnel, or other users that should be able to access all SIMs, having multiple Soracom accounts meant that you had to log out and log back in each time you need to access a SIM that is registered to a different account.

With the Switch User feature, you can now grant permissions for specific users of one account to switch to the user of another. When configured, you can quickly switch between different accounts without having to log out and in again, and without the need to manage multiple usernames and passwords for each user.
