Soracom's Virtual Private Gateway (VPG) is a network service that allows customers to create a dedicated private network for Soracom Air for Cellular and Soracom Arc devices. VPGs allow devices to connect securely to private clouds or datacenters, provide control over allowed or blocked connections, enable remote device access, and other network capabilities.

Updated VPG Type-F Capacity

Until now, VPG Type-F has been available in the following three size capacities:

• Small, capable of handling connectivity for up to 1,000 SIMs for $0.50/hour (about $372/month), available directly from the User Console
• Medium, up to 3,000 SIMs for $1.00/hour ($744/month), available upon request
• Large, up to 10,000 SIMs for $3.00/hour ($2,232/month), available upon request

With this update, the different size capacities will be removed and VPG Type-F will now support up to 100,000 SIMs by default for the same cost of the Small capacity ($0.50/hour).

Customers with an existing VPG Type-F do not need to modify or update their VPG in order to receive the updated capacity.

New VPG Type-G

With this update, we are also excited to announce a new VPG Type-G which supports all of the same private network capabilities of VPG Type-F, but with support for over 100,000 SIMs.
