[Japan only] Soracom Cloud Camera Services real-time access now available

We are pleased to announce new real-time access features for Soracom Cloud Camera Services (SoraCam) which enables real-time viewing and control of SoraCam-compatible cameras.

Key Features

  • View real-time still images: Capture video frames as still images from SoraCam-compatible cameras via Soracom API. For details, please refer to Retrieve live images (still images) (Japanese).
  • View live streaming videos (Early access): View live videos from SoraCam-compatible cameras directly in the Soracom User Console.
  • Control camera pan and tilt direction (Early access): Adjust ATOM Cam Swing camera direction directly from the Soracom User Console.

Note: For Early access features above, an application (Japanese) is required.

These features expand the possibilities for real-time monitoring and integration using SoraCam-compatible cameras. For more details, refer to real-time access (Japanese) documentation.

Real-Time Access Pricing

  • A 990 yen/month fee per SoraCam-compatible camera applies when enabling real-time access. For details, refer to SoraCam Pricing (Japanese).
  • If used in combination with Cloud Recording, fees for both services will apply.

For customers using Live Streaming Unlimited (Early access)

  • Real-time access will be automatically enabled for any SoraCam-compatible cameras currently using the Live Streaming Unlimited (Early access) feature.
  • The live streaming trial period (5 minutes) feature provided with Live Streaming Unlimited (Early access) will be discontinued on July 24, 2025. Customers will be able to use the live streaming video feature of real-time access instead.
  • The live image capture API provided with Live Streaming Unlimited (Early access) will be discontinued on September 30, 2025. Customers should migrate to the real-time access Live Image Retrieval API (Japanese) instead.
  • Billing line items for these services will change from soraCamDeviceAtomCamUnlimitedLiveStreamCharge to soraCamDeviceAtomCamRealTimeAccessCharge starting from August 2025.
