New Category feature for Harvest Data now available

We are pleased to release a new feature that allows you to assign category names to IoT device data stored in Soracom Harvest Data!

With this feature, you can set a category name for each IoT SIM group where Harvest Data is enabled. In turn, when IoT SIM devices in the group send data, that data is stored with the category name, allowing you to group data across multiple devices instead of managing each device's data separately. This makes it easier to visualize trends and run analysis across similar types of data.

These categories also work with Soracom Query, allowing you to perform more sophisticated IoT data analysis grouped or filtered by category, calculate averages, maximums, and minimums across multiple devices, and more.

For more information on configuring Harvest Data categories and Query usage, refer to the Harvest Data and Query documentation.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Soracom Support.
