This is an announcement for customers located in Japan that we will now offer the Soracom plan01s and plan01s - Low Data Volume IoT SIM cards in a new quarter-size "EcoSIM" package which reduces waste plastic by about 75%.

• Previous package size: Full-size (1FF) SIM card
• New package size: Quarter-size EcoSIM card

This change only affects the non-functional plastic package surrounding the SIM card itself. The new EcoSIM package still provides the same 3-in-1 mini-, micro-, and nano-SIM (2FF/3FF/4FF) form factors, and there are no changes to SIM card pricing, coverage, features, or service compatibility.

Starting today, orders for the following products will now use the new EcoSIM package:

• SORACOM Air SIM card (plan01s) 1 SIM pack and SORACOM IoT SIM カード型 (plan01s)
• SORACOM Air SIM card (plan01s-low_data_volume) 1 SIM pack and SORACOM IoT SIM カード型 (plan01s-low_data_volume)
• SORACOM Air SIM card (plan01s) 250 SIM pack
• SORACOM Air SIM card (plan01s-low_data_volume) 250 SIM pack
