Remote Command, previously offered free of charge, will become a paid feature on Sep 1, 2026. Charges apply to Remote Command usage executed on or after Sep 1, 2026.

Remote Command is a feature that allows you to send commands and requests to devices using Soracom IoT SIMs from the Soracom API or Soracom User Console, and retrieve execution results and responses.

Pricing

The monthly base fee for Remote Command is zero. The command execution fee is the same regardless of protocol (SSH, HTTP/S, TCP, UDP, or RTSP).

Free Tier

A free tier for Remote Command command execution fees is included with every Soracom account:

• The first 100 requests each month are free for each Soracom account (operator).
• The free tier is calculated and applied separately for Japan Coverage and Global Coverage.

For example, if 150 requests are executed with Japan Coverage and 80 requests are executed with Global Coverage in the same month under the same Soracom account (operator), 50 Japan Coverage requests and 0 Global Coverage requests will be billed.

Effective Date

Sep 1, 2026

• Charges will apply to Remote Command usage executed on or after Sep 1, 2026.
• Usage executed on or before Aug 31, 2026 will remain free of charge.
